![]() ![]() If your program has non-standard GEDCOM tags you may have data drop out. Roots Magic, Family Tree Maker and PAF will take all of your research, probably, if you export a GEDCOM from your current program. Most of the programs have the ability to download from other software so you will not have to retype everything, but having a copy of your work on a disc or external hard drive is a good idea as well. This would probably help you find a more current software that you can use. I have it downloaded so I can check on various features on the different programs. I’ve just loaded it up today off a Windows XP magazine Edition 37 dvd and it seems to be Generations Family Tree. Read more on ! I have also tried Legacy, Roots-magic and a couple others. ![]() But I also have tried Master Genealogists, LDS, Family Tree Maker (FTM) 2005, and am currently attempting FTM 2009.
